Bula !We had a perfect crossing from Tonga to Fiji and
arrived on the 1st of October 2004, with full moon and spinnaker weather and amazing visibility.
We also had the luxury of sleeping more as we had Roger with us for the crossing. Our time in Fiji was great, doing lots of fishing, snorkeling and enjoying true island hospitality
on Kadavu island. The ceremony of presenting Kava root to the chief of the islands was a highlight, although drinking the
muddy-looking and gritty kava gave one a numb tongue and mouth and left you feeling really lethargic. Roger departed
after 2 months on board and visited relatives in NZ before flying home to the UK.
We then sailed to New Zealand on the 12th of November 2004.
